Greentech Mega Food Park aims to serve as a financially self-sustaining entity to foster the creation, retention, and expansion of agriculture, horticulture, post harvesting processing, value additions, food, and bio-technology research enterprises for the benefit of both the state and local economies.

Considering the focus of the Mega Food Park towards perishables, a 5000 MT cold store has been proposed at the CPC. The proposed cold storage shall be a multi chamber commodity facility.
Warehouses of 5,000 MT have been proposed for the CPC.The warehouse shall be used to store cereals and pulses by farmers, traders and processors.Further, the storage will be utilized by the companies for keeping their non perishable finished products.
The testing lab shall be utilized to analyse the quality of fruits,vegetables,spices etc.The lab will be a state of the art infrastructure with latest technological interventions to check all quality related aspects of food.
Silos of 6500 MT have been proposed at the CPC location.The silo structure shall ensure year round availability of the grain to the potential processing units who wish to process wheat to make value added products.
A Multigrain grading and sorting facility in the CPC will be set up,where grains like paddy,wheat and pulses will be cleaned and sorted.This would help individual farmers,farmer associations and traders in the region to utilize the service of the facility.
The Greentech Mega Food Park is an inclusive concept which is aimed at establishing direct linkages from the farm to processing and on to the consumer markets, through a network of Collection Centers(CC) and Primary Processing Centers(PPC). Efficient logistics facilities will connect the collection centers to the primary processing centers, which in turn will be connected to a central processing center.
The fruits and vegetables need to be transported in chilled condition to enhance their shelf life and reduce wastages.Thus,refer vans will be utilized for carrying the raw material from the production centers to the processing unit and final products to the consumption centres to the processing unit and final products to the consumption centres under controlled conditions.
